Bot Prudential Regulations (2014)

 

  1. INTRODUCTION

The Bank of Tanzania being the Supervisory Authority in the country, is also required to ensure that the main stake holders involved in achieving financial stability which are banks and financial institutions are very conversant with Prudential Guidelines that are set according to the Basel Accord.

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE

The objective of the course is to impart knowledge and skills to enable participants to comply to various set of regulations issued by the BoT from time to time that aim at maintaining soundness and financial stability. It should be noted that  The Bank of Tanzania through The Directorate of Bank Supervision recently reviewed regulations to incorporate Market developments in banking and financial sector. Furthermore the new regulations incorporate, challenges and comments from various banking stake holders.

  • Banking and Financial Institutions (Publication of Financial Statements) Regulations, (2014)
  • Banking and Financial Institutions(Physical Security Measures) Regulations, (2014)
  • Banking and Financial Institutions (Prompt Corrective Action) Regulations, (2014)
  • Outsourcing Guidelines for Banks and Financial Institutions,(2014)
  • Guidelines for Directors of Banks and Financial Institutions, (2014)
  • BoT On-Site and Off-Site activities.

WHO ARE TO ATTEND

Bank of Tanzania staff involved in Banking Supervision, Loan Officers and Management Accountants of Banks and Non Bank Financial Institutions, who are involved in carrying out the activities of their Institutions within the prudential guidelines.

Fee for each participant is TZS. 750,000/= covering tuition, course materials, lunch and mid-session tea/coffee/refreshments. Participants will be responsible for their travel costs and upkeep.
